It is growing happily in temperate south
Aust (gippsland, Victoria)where winter temperatures rarely drop below zero C. Slow- medium growing in loamy soil, bright light but little direct sun. Thanks all you budding green fingers Stew Face 1

Can't help with an ID, but I love the tiny leaves - makes the plant look very delicate! I'd be trying to make it into bonsai Very Happy !

You could be onto something.

Button Fern Pellaea rotundifolia seems to prefer light shade to full sun and if that one has been in full shade that would explain the long stems with distance between the little leaves. It's search for some sun light.

thank you all. It may be a pellaea but I am doubting as the leaves are very small, like a half a fingernail. It's in a very open, bright spot and I think it gets afternoon sun. It is quite a hardy plant. I'll have to have a look at a pellaea to make sure though. Cheers green ears

Hi, I have a plant that looks very similar called a Wire plant or was it a wire vine...anyway, a wire something or other, and it is perennial and comes back a little bigger each year.

Thank you drissel122, I think you've got it, have identified it as Muehlenbeckia axillaris aka vine wire plant. Now i just need to find one!
