Excuse me DAISY-- I think that your posting came in while I was answering some responses to my posting.

Anyway, The reason it is important to me that the new soil mix for the greenhouse gets rained on is to take the nutrients down in the soil, to help the manure to break-down further and to help the new soil 'settle-in'. I also think the the layers of micro-organisms will colonize a bit quicker with moisture.

Yes, those broccoli plants do look quite sad. I shall clear those out next nice day and get the soil ready for runner beans.

You are aright about so much being brown...you are also right about things being green soon. ....Hmmmm, what a wise woman you are.

Again, please excuse me for this tardy reaction to your posting.

*Phew!* Glad you weren't ignoring me Sjoerd! The rain answer makes sense. After all, April showers bring May flowers.

Too right, Daze--I just hope they fall in the beginning of the first week, otherwise I shall have to do it with a watering can and rose. hahaha.

I am heading out early in the morning to pick up some wood chippings for the lottie paths. They need doing again.

I hope your blueberry quest is going well.

Well Glenda, it sounds like you are making a serious start with selecting seeds and bulbs.

I'm so jelous that you can actually get started in your greenhouse now. it will be another few weeks before I can do that.

I'll bet that your toms do just fine. Just be sure and post piccies of the whole effort, Glenda. I like your pics.
