What are some exotic looking house plants/small trees that thrive in a humid 80 degree climate. with high-medium light.?

What size space or spaces do you have available,
do you want something that will flower or just has pretty foliage,
do you have children or pets - that would eliminate any plants that are toxic

Any size is ok. Toxins are not a problem. Preferably something tree like. For example an arboricola

One of my favorite houseplants is the orchid. There are so many species to choose from over 20,000 and about 100,000 hybrids world-wide.
