I've just finished reading "Odd Thomas" by Dean Koontz. Now I usually enjoy his books and find them quite compelling but I'm afraid that this was not one of my favourites. It took too long to get to the climax of the story and when it did arrive it had very little impact for the reader and was over and done with too quickly after the build up written about it. Sadly,it's the first time I can honestly say that I would not recommend a book of DK's.

I hate that when your expectations are built up just to see them fizzle out like a damp squid
