Here are tow of my daughters pets.

1) Baby hog-nosed python (now 1 & 1/2 feet long)

2) Shane, her pet rat who has a lovely nature.

I posted the photographs this way as I know some people don't like either rats or snakes.

Very considerate of you Eileen Smile I am not a huge fan myself but I have to ask a question, why snakes and rats and not something less exotic like a gerbil? Smile

I guess it's pretty cool to say you own a snake and a rat.

Frank - she HAS got gerbils - three of them in fact. Laughing Laughing

She's not allowed large animals in her flat so she keeps small ones in tanks instead.

The gerbils are in deep sand so that they have a more natural environment and love digging tunnels in it. As their tank is made of clear glass you can watch them digging, making food stores and gathering nesting materials and taking them to underground chambers. Fascinating little things. Very Happy

The rat - simply because they are soooo intelligent and even answer to their names when called. They make ideal pets as they rarely, if ever, bite and they love a cuddle. Smile

The snake - well a challenge I suppose and something a bit different. She has a wide knowledge of animals, birds, fish and reptiles (now I wonder who she got that from Wink Wink ) so I have no qualms about her taking on exotic or unusual pets. In fact I think her pets a Cool
