I am interested in tranplanting some of my roses. I have heard you can cut the rose and plant it in the ground and place a glass jar on top until it roots and starts growing, does anyone have information on this procedure?

I remember my great aunt doing that. Seems like she packed it with mulch to keep it moist

hello
we do that a lot here in romania. at least. it's not really transplanting, as the roots stay where they are. it's more like... propagating. making more.
we just cut stems, stick them in the ground, water well, and then put a plastic bottle on top, with the cap up. and sometimes i take the cap and add more water in case it's hot and the ground is dry.
on very hot days i even remove the caps for some fresh air.
some cutting DO take, some die but it doesn't cost a thing.
it's very easy to propagate roses like this!
