This is so cute

Sorry to brag but I was just so happy with the way the shelf and doodads look out there. Serendipity had a lot to do with that display.

The birdhouses I picked up at our favorite thrift store over a year ago and they have been sitting in a box in my craft room closet. The brackets holding up the shelf....I found one at the same thrift store two years ago and knew it would be needed someday. On our yearly day out with our oldest daughter we were junque store shopping and I found a matching bracket so I painted them both brown to hide their old color.
The shelf is made from a piece of a curb find that has been hanging in the rafter of the backroom waiting it's turn.
The little green rubber boots planter was also a find on that day out with Lisa. Several years ago our youngest grandson found a pair of froggy boots that looked exactly like that planter at a store and begged for them like his little heart would break if he didn't have them. He wore them everywhere, church, around the house, shopping, even to his pre-kindergarden classes since they weren't required to wear school uniforms at that age. And he could wear them for a couple of years so everyone got used to seeing Nicky in his froggy boots, it was pretty sad when he finally outgrew them tho.
I need to glue some 'wobbly eyes' near the toes and paint a little red tongue on the toes and they will my 'Nicky's Froggy Boots Planter'.

Thanks Cheryl, I am beginning to wonder about that Passionflower Vine. It has reached the top of that screen door, hanging over the edge actually and is spreading out real nicely but nary a bud to be seen. Guess I am just too impatient. It's called Lavender Lady so I am really anxious to see it blooming.

Thanks Deanna, Nicky has a 'cartoon gene', we don't know which side of the family to give credit or blame ....sometimes it's a toss-up.
