Willie seems to be here all the time stealing the Blue Jays peanuts that I haven't seen the Blue Jay at this feeder for days. I sat outside on the steps and put a hibiscus tree close to me so he didn't notice me...I wonder where he is storing all of these peanuts?

Willie!!

Whata a lovely set of photographs and a charming like fellow with his striped fur. Over here they're only kept as pets in cages (which I don't approve of) so it's lovely to see Willie in his natural setting.

I have never heard of them as pets before...I guess different areas do different things. I do know people keep mice, rats as pets here...I do think these are cuter.

He's lovely. Very Happy I know they're rascals, but they're cute.

Cute pictures. Good thing he didn't see you it must have been excruciating to just see him and not hold him. When they're so cute you just want to pet them.

He is cute... but I have grown up in the country and I would feel bad if someone trapped them and had them as pets here...they are fast little stinkers and they need exercise. Some things are against the law to trap and keep as pets...

I love chippys. (Even tho they ate 1/2 of what i planted in my veggie garden and planted corn and sunflowers in my gardens where I didn't! Laughing )Ours come right up to us. if you toss willie a peanut you can get him to come closer and eventually take one from your hand.

I don't want them too friendly even though I would love it. I have 2 dogs and one is a terrier, a cairn terrier and he hunts...I would feel terrible if I found him dead so I will admire him from a distance.

I do love watching how many peanuts he can stuff into his mouth...sometimes I add the shell less ones and he really stuffs them in.

Does he stuff more than one peanut if it has the shell on? That must be so funny to watch.

daisybeans...he stuffs the whole shell with the nut inside into his mouth. We were watching him this morning and he put two whole peanuts, one in each side and then he carried one in the front of his mouth...so funny to see it.
