Hi all,
I stumbled on this site quite by accident. It looks like a great site with lots of resources.
My name is Mike and I have gardened all my life. I'm mainly interested in unusual trees, dwarf and unusual conifers and recently in Semperviviums (Hens & chicks), but I love all plants and I have a mix of trees, shrubs, dwarf and unusual conifers, grasses and vines in my yard.
I'm also an indoor gardener and have a large collection of Hoyas and Haworthias plus a smattering of other succulents (I'm not really into cacti.)
I live on the northern edge of zone 4a, in Minneapolis.
I look forward to exploring the site and "meeting" the members here.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. Sounds like you are an avid gardener of all things beautiful. Hope we get to see some photos of your plants soon.

Hi all,
Thanks for the warm welcome! My yard is a work in progress, but I will try to get some photos taken. I am waiting for my new camera to be delivered. I went on a canoe trip a couple of weeks ago and the canoe almost tipped over, but didn't quite tip all the way, but we did take on a lot of water and the water ruined my camera.
Frank,
Actually, that post on the Semps is what brought me to this site. Someone had posted a link to that Semp thread on another gardening site I belong to.

Wow, thanks all. This is sure a friendly bunch of folks - and from all over the world, too. I think I'm going to like it here.
