Leaves are scalloped-edged, starting to turn yellow mid-August; in a small grove of six trees only half are bearing fruit. Dried empty pods together with closed green ones in the pod clusters. Each pod under 1 in. in length. Can anyone ID this? Thanks!

I have this tree in KY and have not been able to identify. 15m tall with a spread of 20m. Small red blooms that are not noticeable until you are close.

Hello, I have the same tree and I'm trying to identify it, so, I did a search and found this thread. I'm wondering if you successfully identified it, and if so, what you learned! Thanks, Dan
