|
I bought a small Bougainvillea plant from the nursery about two weeks ago... it is in a container and I placed it in my balcony.
Now it did rain rather heavily over the last few days and it was rather windy too, but all the 'flowers' have now fallen off and it looks barren
Will it reflower again? Also, the bare stalks from where the flowers were are still there... should i cut them off?

I really hope it will bloom more for you. We can't grow those here but the ones I've seen further south seems to have lots of blooms always. I guess somebody else will know more about them.

The blooms don't last too long on my Bougainvillea, but they are constantly replaced by new ones. I don't deadhead.
Try a bit of fertilizer to see if that will give it a boost.

After a big rain, mine does the same thing. Just let it dry out a bit and before you know it, more blooms will appear.
