I need tomato plant help!!!ASAP!!

Our tomato plants have gotten away from us and now they have spread into our bell pepper. We first started tying them on a tall piece of rebar we pushed into the ground beside the plants. Then we didn't tie them as they grew, and now we have a huge mess of tomato plants and it is hard to harvest our ripe tomato and bell pepper. Has this ever happened to anyone else and if so how can we fix the problem other than pulling them all out? Please HELP!!!Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

I'd start by pruning the 'mater plants. Cut off the branches that don't have any fruit or flowers on them. Of course, don't cut the main trunk, and leave the occasional branch that isn't interfering with the mess you have, as the plant will still need some leaves to grow and help set the fruit. This should help immensely as most 'mater branches don't seem to have a use other than just getting in the way.
ps. Not Fair that you already have maters and peppers ready to pick!

Thanks Hank for the quick response!! You have been a great help!! I will prune them and I'm sure that will help!!! We have been picking tomatoes and bell pepper for about a month now, but our planting season starts very early (late March early April)and by around this time of year the hot settles in and most things start dying!! Hopefully you will start picking yours soon too!!

Yer welcome!
My maters are a little bigger than golf ball size now, and the bell peppers are the size of a nickel. We can't plant till mid May or later as the nights still dip into the 40's. I used to have a hot house for my peppers to give them a jump start, but I broke it last year. Oh well....
