This morning I had 5 or 6 of these birds show up flying from tree top to tree top. Does anyone know what they are they are sure a beautiful bird.

It looks to be a Hawk of some kind, possibly a Coopers Hawk. Is the underside really as dark as the photo shows? Or is it lighter in color with either bars or spots?

Hi toni Smile I could not tell the belly it looks solid but not real sure I chased them from tree to tree to try and gets photos. I have 2 more photos I will place in my album.

Yep, I think you nailed it. I am not familiar with Kestrels so didn't even think of that one, but something about the face of the bird in your photo just really didn't look right for any of the Hawks I see down here.....now I know why. Wink
