Something strange on my variegated peace lily

    I have a variegated peace lily at work that I took over four years ago for my boss. It was in sad shape. Now it is huge, flowers a lot, and has tons of new growth. But I found something really strange on it this week. At the end of the stem of a flower, a red bean looking thing is growing. Has anyone ever seen anything like this. I don't have a picture of it.

    Yes, I've seen that before (I think) :p If it's what I'm thinking, it may continue to grow and get kind of lumpy looking. I think it's some kind of seed pod. :-D

    Do the red bean like things on the peace lily you have look like these by any chance?

    Not exactly. It is growing off to the side of where the flower was. It doesn't have any covering a the bottom like your picture. But it could be the same.
