Pretty, huh? Now look at this:
They are growing completely sideways, almost touching the ground! They are planted on a small slope, perhaps that is what is wrong?

They probably just got to heavy for the stalk. I have some stuff doing that too.

For next year you can pinch them a couple of times before the buds emerge. That will keep them more bushy.

Thank you for the replies, after reading more and looking into what you all posted I think it is the reaching for the sun thing.....they are almost completely shaded and I've learned they love sun.

I'll wait for much cooler weather and dig them up and replant them, hopefully they'll do better next year!

One of thes days I'll get a grip on all these flower beds!
