I really like cajunbelle's idea of wrapping the tall one with wire and making a trellis out of it. Gorgeous idea.

We found some weird and wonderful stones in our garden too when we moved in GM. Ours is a 17th century cottage in Scotland. I have no idea what any of them are but I've kept them and used them as features in the back garden. I like the idea of ivy or a climbing plant growing up them or maybe you could make the taller one into a sundial.

Are they in line? Maybe they are some kind of marker for land rights or mapping Rolling Eyes .

I'm really intrigued about that second, shorter one. The marks on it make it look exactly like the chunks of sandstone that are mined out of the quarry behind my mom's house, can't imagine why those marks would show up on concrete as they are made by the excavating tools. Just musing outloud Smile

Indeed, I love them! Perhaps they were just
a cumbersome job, so she planted around them.

Perhaps the former owners tried to get rid of one
and found it to be a job they did not want to
tackle, so the columns remained. Very neat!

I would incorporate them into my garden as well.
Maybe cover one with mosaics?

Very Happy Karen Marie
