No harm was meant by my posts. I apologize for any unintended interpretations my posts may have caused. All was done in fun, with no direct implication of disrespect to any poster on this thread.

Sincerely,

I like potato salad. Hot, Cold, mashed or German. When I make mine I chop the potatoes up before I cook them. After they cool I add chopped boiled eggs, chopped onions celery and thinly sliced radishes. I use pickle relish instead of chopping pickles and I use a mayo/mustard dressing. No complaints from the family.

Me gots 2nd outta 7 entries! Mother-in-law won it. I'll accept my second place like a man, but you should know that the judging was held at her house and the judge was her brother.....I'm not implying anything

Easier to say what wasn't in mine.....MIL had almost the same salad, but hers had dill in it. I do admit, it was perty good. And nice to look at. Our judges (MIL's brother and his wife) were really getting into judging. They got a note pad and broke down specifics like appearance, texture, taste....I'll take my second. Oh, MIL also won the annual builders challenge, which was "Build a homemade Umbrella". She won simply on originality - it was a big piece of birch bark on the end of a stick. Confused

I think it was stacked against you and your mother in law was going to win whatever contest there was. Better luck next year.
