Found a great sale at the grocery store the other day. 3 plant/shrubs for $10. So I picked up a lantana and 2 azaleas. Only the Pink Ruffle Azalea is in bloom... and it sure is a beauty!

And then there's the Kalanchoes. The red ones have been growing next to the porch for as long as I can remember! I do believe I need to find a bigger space for them.

I stole a piece of this gold one from a friend. This is the first time it's bloomed.

Even though the Spiderworts haven't showed up yet "in the wild"... this one that was in the old wheelbarrow is looking pretty darn cute.

And finally... there's that little pot with strawberries from last year. And I do mean little... it can't be more than 6 inches wide and tall. This plant is quite the survivor! It spent the entire winter outside. Not once getting covered up. And not only is it blooming... there's fruit!

What lovely photographs Cheryl. It does my heart good to see that you have so many blooms in your garden.
We can only grow Kalanchoes indoors here in Scotland as our weather is so unpredictable. I can only imagine having strawberries in flower and beginning to produce fruit at this time of year. Even your azalea is way ahead of mine which won't be flowering for a couple of months yet.

Great photos Cheryl! Don't let the birds get the strawberry when it gets ripe and you will have a strawberry for your cereal.

Thanks everyone. Those Kalanchoes are just taking over. I think next year I'll thin some of them out and find a place to put them.
And yes Sjoerd... the weather here now is just about perfect. But the 100F temps will be here before you know it.
Jerry... I think I'll pick up some more strawberry plants today so I can have more then ONE berry with my cereal!

Great blooms Cheryl. You can't hardly get rid of Spiderwort can you? I have little plantlets in assorted places all from one big momma plant.
My strawberries aren't nearly large enough to eat yet, that may be why the birds haven't bothered with them.

Seems like the Spiderwort is a little late in blooming "in the wild". Can't remember when they are usually taking over in the open fields... but I bet it has to be soon. I'm just amazed that the one that I stuck in the old wheelbarrow made it through the winter and is spreading and blooming.
