I sorta remember planting something at the base of the bird feeder pole and thinking that will look nice when it grows up in that spot. But that was two years ago and I think that since nothing came up last year I must have taken up the plant tag and thrown it away. Well this came up in late winter and is now about 2 -3 feet tall and wide. If I had known for sure that it was a nice plant I would have trimmed it back last month to make it bushier but I didn't so it is difficult to get a good photo of it since it isn't a dense mound. A bloom on the 'What's It?' plant ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) The leaves of the 'What's It?" plant ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) It's a nice looking plant that will probably be left there even if it is a weed, but I would like to know what to call it other than Bill.
I think my grandma called that "crown vetch" or something like that Seems like it was in the pea family or alfalfa or???? I really need to pay better attention
