Wow, that's weird. My computer must be having a bad day. When I hit F5, I can see the bottom pic. When I hit it again, the bottom pic vanished, but then I could see the middle pic. Stupid computer.

Looks like a grub of some sort. I would kill it to be on the safe side.

Does look like a grub. I will tell you one thing they are good for, and I found this out by accident. Put about 12 or 15 of them in a lawn bag full of damp oak leaves. Poke a few air holes in the bag. They will do just like earth worms, eat the leaves and leave their nutrient rich castings behind. It takes about a year. Your bag will be full of good grub poop for your garden. Just get the grubs out before you use the castings and put them in another bag of leaves.

That is a great idea, Sharon, but I'll let you drive over and collect the slugs. I'll provide the leaves and a plastic bag.

Sharon said sure she will but you can just use a hand trowel. You should have seen her face when we opened a bag that had about 8 in it that weighed about 4oz apiece.

Being Cajun, I'm surprised you have not figured out how to make a slug etouffe.
