I planted a "mixed bag" of Asiatic Lilies. So far I've gotten some orange and pink. These beauties were waiting for me when I got home from work.

Cosmos are blooming. The orange & yellows aren't blooming yet though.

And I finally had my camera handy when the hummingbird came by at his usual time for a drink.

And this last one is for S-H. Just couldn't help teasing him with this Junior Hybrid Sunflower that is just about to open.

Gorgeous lilies! But, what I really want is a hummingbird in my yard!

Nice flowers Cheryl. The hummingbird pix is a winner. Our hummers stay for a half second drink and poof. No pix.

What a lovely lily you were greeted with when you got home from work.
I really like to see cosmos in a garden as they have such pretty colours.
Great shot of the hummingbird - how I would love to have little birds like that in my own garden.
You must show us your sunflower when it opens fully.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
Wish I would have had a movie camera yesterday, the 3 hummingbirds were playing all over the yard... back and forth... up and down. It was fun to watch them.
The Jr. Sunflowers are almost open. Perhaps by this afternoon, but definitely by tomorrow.
I'd forgotten to include a couple other photos from the other day.
Here's the Yellow Trumpet Vine starting to flower.

And a clump of Daylilies growing around the Sassafras tree where the old bench is. With those colorful pots and those Daylilies... talk about a color explosion!

What good fotos again, Cheryl. Boy, I had to laugh at my situation when I saw your Cosmeas--mine are only about 3.5 cm tall! --and you have blooms already! I really do like these plants, and I hope to plant a mass of them ....somewhere.
The humming bird foto is such a good shot. Those tiny creatures are a wonder to behold, aren't they.
Your yellow Campsis is pretty spectacular-looking as is that bench with planters. Very nice.
Lovely posting, Cheryl.

Thanks Cal.. yep... those hummers are so special.
Sjoerd... I planted some orange and yellow Cosmos also. I mistakenly planted them behind these so they can't be seen very well. Their leaves are completely different! There's one bloom so far. I hope they do grow taller. Or at least next year, I hope they'll start off at the same time and get all "mixed up".
