These have been sprouting up in our new yard. Does anyone know if they're friend or foe?
They have really red stems. The flower are more pink than the photo shows. I've noticed that they seem to want to climb or spread out.
Any help you can provide would be most appreciated.
Thanks!

I have some of those. I was told they are a wildflower called "henbit." They are invasive and spread quite rapidly. I usually pull them out.
I don't know if they are good for anything. I can't find my book.
Someone will be along soon to give you more help. We are a really helpful bunch, even when you don't need help.
Welcome to Gardenstew! Just keep asking your questions. Someone here knows the answer.

Nope, not Henbit. But I don't know what it is.

I have this in my garden and Jerry has the name correct it is indeed HerbRobert. It can be very invasive so, if you don't want masses of it, I'd pull it up.

Good am!

Check this out; it'll look familiar. The red stems/spreading plants are key. If you are adventurous, do stems taste sour?
Friend or foe? Do you want an herb garden? Or a pretty shade garden? I would recommend keeping them contained to certain area, but they are pretty and harmless and "easy" to grow (or is it more like hard to get rid of)
