Hello all you silly people. i just had to respond to this forum because I got such a kick out of it
I used to wear overalls while gardening, but the darn hook/clip thingy on one side kept coming loose! Then I would be half covered on top and the whole thing would start sliding off of me, and the strap would get in my way, What a bother...
I can't wear them at work, because we have company shirts, and I need a belt for my pruner holster, but I may be lookin in the thrift store for a pair to wear in my home garden. They are comfy. They just have to fasten properly!

I think Kay said it best... "you silly people!"
My usual attire out in the garden... shorts, flip-flops and tank top. Oh wait.... that's my attire for work too!
Can't stand to have a hat on, or gloves. And the only time I wear socks and shoes is during the winter. So... I get scratched up, bitten by bugs... and am proud to sport the dirtiest feet in 3 counties!
I do try to keep my toe-nails polished for work appearances... little do they know it's just to hide the dirt!

I'm not a fan of the extra layer of clothing during the spring and summer either... shorts, tanks, hiking boots and a layer of dirt is my usual attire.
A belt and a pruner holster sounds like a great accessory, Ms Kay! Brilliant! Why didn't I think of that?! (shaking my head) I spend more time looking for where I last put them down....

I like to wear overhauls in the early spring and late fall--the rest of the time it is just too hot and humid here for the extra weight and layer--I prefer shorts and old short-sleeved shirts. Jeez--I go through one a day...and like Miz Daisy--a nice layer of dirt is always present.

I found a pair of the short overalls at my favorite thrift store, they were on sale 50% off so the final cost of $2.49. They are in almost perfect condition and even have red/white/blue stars embroidered on the flap of the front pocket. I have been wearing them this week and they are super comfy.

I love overalls, but with my matronly figure, uhmm... no thank you. That lady who gardened in her bday suit was Ruth S...something. I want to say Stolz, but I don't think that is correct. I will pass on that idea too. Shorts, tee or tank top and flipflops. Sometimes sneaks if I must go into a long weedy area for something. I do not want a repeat performance of the copperhead bite 6 years ago. If I could get back near my teenage figure, I would go for the overhauls... The main problem with putting things in my pockets is they make my pants fall down. If I remember it, I might wear my hat, but it makes me even hotter.
Philip, I just love your siggie with the monkey. I have siggies from another website that were made for me, but not by me. Are those allowed ?
