Very Happy It had not occurred to me why farmers are always depicted in overalls until one day, growing tired of constantly stopping to adjust my pants, a lightbulb turned on and I immediately went online and ordered myself a basic pair of Dickies workwear overalls. Best $25 I ever spent! I joke with my family and friends, "now I look like a gardener, not a plumber"! With those and my Crocs, lemme tellya' I'm stylin' for sure!

I have given some thought to getting a pair of overalls, they would have to be the shorts version thought...just way too hot here anytime of the year to garden in long pants. Rolling Eyes Now you have got me thinking I really need to go ahead and get them.
I wear Crocs too with pretty much everything, I have black boots (not Crocs) for dressy. Wink

Ah, we are the fashionistas of the garden! I didn't know that overalls (aka "overhauls") came in a shorts version. I'll have to get me some of those! I'm tired of making sure I'm bending over with my posterior away from the road so as not to offend passersby.
Glad someone else has to pause and hike their pants up. I was afraid I was the only "half-master".

Not me! it's too hot here during the summer for another layer. I'll stick to my skort and cotton shirt. I wear an apron when i need pockets. and crocs. and straw hat for shade. And a bee suit when i absolutely have to wear long anything while working with the bees. Stew Face 1

Marlingardener... You could always try the kind of gardening that the lady (i forget her name - she never rototilled) in Kansas did. You wouldn't have to worry about bending over and accidentally flashing them. no one ever said a thing. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

My shorts don't pull down when I bend over, my favorite shirts pull up or the wind catches them and blows them up my back Rolling Eyes

I think the shorter versions have all been 'designer' ideas. We will haunting our favorite thrift stores this weekend, pretty sure I can find a pair of long ones and I own scissors so I will have short ones soon. Wink
