Thanks Cheryl,
it makes walking the dogs along the river bank more interesting to have camera in hand,..you never can tell what will catch the eye.

Hi Cheryl,
in that first picture the piece of land you see is in fact a small island,..years ago a man from London,England came to live there,..and did so for many many years,..in the next picture you will see that small island,..on the left bank is where i took the first picture and the side of the river i walk the dogs.

Something I share with my brother "the dragon". We love bridges for some reason. When he's out on his boat, he'll go out of his way to pass under a bridge.
I'll go out of my way to drive over one. Stew Face 2

Hi Carolyn,
thank you for the comment,..i guess i am another person who likes bridges,..being under them is my liking.

====================================================

Hi Cheryl,
amazing how you and your brother like bridges but from different angles,..you from above while crossing and he from below navigating.

The picture below is our town center,..the bridge divides the town,..east and west,..i live on the west side of the picture,..the first bridge built there was in 1000 but back then it was wood.

The picture below is of Hare Island,..where all the Viking gold was found,..the largest find in Europe.

( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden )

Here you can see a better view of the entire island,..the mainland is on both sides of the picture.
