I have two large rosemary on each side of a path used frequently by the dogs. When I call them into the house they just have a nice fragrance. In addition to using as a fur freshener, it is also good in stews.

I love rosemary - I tried more than once to get it growing over the years, only to inevitably have it die. Imagine my delight when the house we moved to a couple years ago already had a nice, big established rosemary going. Never tried running a stinky dog through it, but I do like running my own hands over it when I'm out weeding and watering.
Wonder if it would work to add other plants to your dog-path... lavender, pineapple sage?

We have a large rosemary by the gate where Chance goes in and out to her yard. She rubs up against it because she likes the smell. Dooley

Fred just smells like a dog! Maybe I need to plant some rosemary in his dog pen.

You should do that, it smells good and Chance likes it.You can always tell when she rubs against it. The yard smells good too. Plus you can cook with it. Great! Dooley

Do I have to wait until next year to plant it outside? Maybe I should plant it in a container to start it. Fred likes to dig in fresh dirt.

Maybe you should put it in a pot anyway. Tom said when he was in New York he had to put his in pots and bring them inside in winter because they are susceptible to freezing. Dooley

Must plant it.It sounds wonderful.I think I'll do it next spring .This heat would too much on it, I think.
