Now THAT looks like a recovering crepe myrtle. I think you have saved your tree!

The tree is now completely healthy and is actually starting to bloom. It actually looks like there are going to be a lot of blooms.

Just realized that I never showed a picture of the tree when it was thriving. It's dropping its leaves now but it looked awesome a couple of months ago.

Thanks for the update Danny. We are so glad it is thriving for you now. It is a beautiful color, also.

Looks very good. I have just begin to like Crape Myrtle. Now I have 3 or 4 in the gardens and have clipped as many as I could to get started for next Spring. I want the stuff planted all over the place. It's just a beautiful plant.

You did great saving that baby. Keep it up.

Danny, I'm so proud of you! That is a lovely tree that you'll enjoy for years.
I also take back the comment about espaliering vines on your house--they look great and are obviously under control. You taught this gardener a good lesson!

Congrats Danny... Great job on saving your Crepe Myrtle. It looks especially beautiful against the cheery yellow of your house.
