We had new floors put in a week ago. We went with the Dupont and it was fairly expensive, but we thought the 30 year wear warranty was worth it. We also took up the base boards and filled in the nail holes and then painted them. We just got the baseboards back down this morning. We had the spare room and the master bedroom done. This fall we will have the living room and hall done in the same color.

Still have to paint the doors and door trim yet.

Really classy and attractive!! Now it will be much easier to clean the floors. I give my a sweep and a mop and they're done - so much better than carpets in my opinion.

Looks nice. We are planning on laminate flooring in our living room and kitchen soon. So much easier to take care of since we have cats in the house.

I love that!!! Can't wait to get my kitchen & dining room done. Did you do it yourself or have it done for you?

Oh, that looks great! I'm wanting to do some remodeling eventually and I don't have a clue what I want for the floor, but I love the look of this.

This was Dupont laminate. We got it at Home Depot and had their people install it. These were the same guys that did the tile work in the living room for the wood burner. We will have them do the living room too. They did both rooms in one day and only took a 20 minute break. That was when they ate their lunch. I would recommend them to anyone.

Great looking floor, bet you are so happy with the way it came out.

I love the wood look, carpet is such a hassle to keep clean especially when 2/3rds of the family has alergies.

That is very attractive. The 30 year wear warranty part was great deal!

Agree with Barb. Would love to see a recent pic!

My sister just got laminate in her house as well. MUCH easier to clean up since kids love to spill juice, cereal, and their toy cars everywhere. It's actually holding up pretty well despite the constant barrage it gets everyday (rowdy 3 and 5 year olds are no joke!)

This is the computer room which is the same floor as the one above.

This is the living room, which we had the floor done there this past Sept. The floors are all the same now, except the kitchen which is 18" tile. The same guys that did the floor, also did the tile work at the wood burner.

The living room still needs to be painted and the baseboards put back. It used to take my wife all day to clean the house. With carpet in 3 rooms. Now it takes her about 4 hours as she does the floors with a dust mop.

This looks very nice Capt. I think when I remodel the kitchen all the carpet (in every other room) is going, also and I am replacing it with bamboo. This is a few years down the road as I have to save up quite a bit more for the project than what I have put away now. Yours gives me inspiration that I am on the right track with the decision. thanks for sharing your pictures.
