My little quail farm is going from strength to strength and we currently have 15 adults, 6 x 2 week old babes and 7 eggs with a week to go in the incubator. One of the noisy chaps became oven ready a couple of weeks ago, but then the quail aren't meant to be pets but livestock, providing us with meat and eggs. However, I do love them all so much and they have such fun personalities. We are getting between 8 and 11 eggs a day at the moment and they do make lovely gifts for some of my 'favourite' customers.

Just a couple of snaps of the newborns.

I'm so glad you decided to restock after the fox incident EJ. If the rest of the eggs all hatch your going to have a lovely flock of quail. The amount of eggs you are getting is fantastic. You should sell them as they are a real delicacy and expensive to get from the shops.

Cute feather balls EJ, I am use to seeing Quail run around in the woods. How large is a Quail egg compared with a chicken egg?
