We call these moths wannabe (wannabe butterfly). Some get beautiful color and white on there back end.
Playing them selfs off as butterflys.
I think they are very pretty.

The world is full of moths who want to be butterflys. However there is nothing wrong with being a moth.

I agree DR, has anyone ever seen the big green lunar moth, you don't get much prettier than that.

Interesting how they have such color - does it make them blend in with the flowers? Good name for them!

I like the big Moths that are brown and have little bat faces .When we were little we called them batchaboos.

I'm sure some butterflies want to be moths too. Does anyone know why moths leave a 'dust' behind them? e.g. if you touch their wings you get the 'dust' on your fingers. I wonder what possible use it has.
