Some of my phlox have a mildew problem, every year. Others don't. Suggestions re how to deal with it? Or should I just yank out the problem ones?

Mildew hits most type of plants,..even grapes get it,..and it can spread once it gets a grip,..some people dispose of the plant with the mildew.

I have many rose bushes,..and from time to time Mildew hits them,..one good old fashioned method is Baking Soda,..it also is hated by insects,..here is a recipe to help you.

* 1 tablespoon of baking soda
* ½ teaspoon of liquid soap
* 1 gallon of water

It will rid you of mildew.

Sorry to hear about the mould.
I use a mixture of milk and water..ratio 9 parts water to 1 part milk.
I spray it weekly until I have a cure. I would not use a greater portion of milk hoping for a quicker fix, as a higher percentage of milk can actually cause a fungus to grow on some plant's leaves.
This is something that I have heard, but I have never tried upping the milk to water ratio, so I do not know if that is true.

Ah1 Another treatment to try. Thank you. I like that both of these treatments don't involve chemicals that I don't understand. Thanks.
