I think I've been cursed again!
My Petunias have bloomed for the 2nd time this Summer and I'm so happy,BUT there isn't any smell!
Were having a cool spell as its only 92 at 11:00am.

Your petunias are lovely even if they don't have a scent. They are such a rich colour so I'm glad they've flowered again for you.

Ed! you haven't been cursed. Those are beautiful, not every plant is going to have the same smell as all the rest of its kind. Sometimes we sacrifice one aspect of a new cultivar for a hardier or prettier or more disease resistant plant. You still have a beautiful one to look at. (this is why you can buy a can of room spray or a bottle of cologne. and you can have any smell you want to go with your flower. go ahead, fool your neighbors with it.hehehe and have a good laugh.)

I think because of all the hybridizing to create all the different colors over the years most of them have lost the fragrance. Most pink ones, the original Petunia color, is the most fragrant, purple and white are too. Check them again at night, that's when the fragrance, if they have one, is more pronounced.
