When I was younger I laughed at people for treating their pets like kids., -Now I'm WORSE than they were.

Update! Blackberry has a new home! YAY! She's living with my surrogate grandparents (I call them that since my real grandparents have been gone for a long time) Katie and Lucky (his real name is William but no one calls him that haha). They have a boxer named Blanca and they werent sure how well she would do with kitty, but she seems to be getting used to BB. They had another dog, Joey, but he died of old age a few months ago so Katie decided it was time for another pet, and she and I have just about talked Lucky into accepting the kitty lol He wasnt too thrilled at first, but I think he's warming up to her ;)

Katie sent me a pic of the kitty last night but my phone wont let me share, so Im waiting for her to post it to Facebook so I can save it my computer.

Atwood I know exactly what you mean. Our Tooty does not think she is a dog. Just a hairy four legged small bossy person.

Bip great to hear that BB has a new home. I'm sure that she will fit in after some adjustment from the other kritters in the home. :stew1:

This is Aries and Venus. As you can tell I'm a cat lover. Always had cats since I was a young girl. I've tried to have dogs a couple of times. But unfortunately they just have not been a good fit to my lifestyle. So that's why I'm a cat person.
    I love cats!!

I like both but always preferred cats. I guess their independent nature makes me love them more. Meet Shiloh our kitty that found us the day we moved into our newest house two years ago. shiloh2.jpg

Wow all your pets are so special. Thank you for posting them and letting us know your pet preference. My brother and sis-in-love has two male Rag Doll cats. They are really sweet. But I am glad I do not have to deal will all that fur. YIKES!

I really prefer dogs. But have a cat. He however think a he's a dog. Plays fetch with hair ties and bites on command. Comes when you call him and loves water. His name is minibar cause he's just as dangerous as those minibars you find in hotels.

I would love to get a dog. I miss having dogs. But we simply don't have the time. My boyfriend is a fitter so he's gone a lot. And I work way too much to care for a dog right now.

Our goats George and Helen occupy themselves though. But they think they're people. We got them from some folks in town last week. The whole no livestock in city ordinance thing.

CJ your cat Minibar sounds like quite the character. How neat to hear you have goats. What kind are they? I use to raise Fainting Goats and I loved every minute with them. My first 2 goats Stan and Ollie thought they where dogs. I could take them for a walk off leach and they stuck right with me. Of course we live in the country and have our own trailers to walk on. They us to love so sit in my lap and be petted. If I could afford to have them again I would buy a few in a second.

The lady I bought them from called them dwarf nubians but after looking them up they don't look like a dwarf nubian. Oh well. I Didn't get them to breed or anything. Just love goats

Cats for me this go-round. We have two orange cousins. Laura is the longer in her trunk, and has the more pronounced appetite. Olive has a birth defect and has only a 3/4 inch lump for her tail. She has a shorter trunk and other developmental delays. At a guess this looks like the equivalent of kitty-spina bifida.

We love them both. Laura is the alpha, Olive the beta...
