I knew when I saw the subject line that said “graphic heavy”, we'd be in for a real treat!
The Red Monarda looks like exploding fireworks!
And that first Poppy is a real eye-opener! I didn't realized Poppies got so large. Beautiful... all of them!
And the others are so nice to see this time of year. All my blooms are either dying off (or baking off) or the colors are “faded”.
Oh yeah... cute Scarefrog!

Oh that was such a treat Netty! Rudbeckia is one of my favorites too. Your double echinachea is so cute! Mother Nature in a "more is more" mood! The shaggy Monarda heads make me smile too. I have never seen amaranthus before -- that is really striking looking. About how tall is that?

OO Netty you're spoiling us with all those beautiful blooms. I love the butterfly weed that you grew from seed and the fuschia, daisies, poppies - heck it's easier to just say that I love each and every one. Great close up of the allium by the way. Keep them coming!!

Beautiful blooms at this time of the year. I keep forgetting that you all up north get to have a longer season of blooms than we do.
I really want an Amaranth or two next year!!

I saw the words "Graphic heavy" and "Netty"...and I knew that I HAD to have a look.
Good grief, what a beautiful array of colour, Netty!
I have a thing for Monarda's too. heh heh heh. Lovely things.
Congrats on the butterfly flower from seed. --Well done, you.
That is a very nice trilogy of poppies. When you call them, "volunteers", do you mean that you did not specifically plant them? If so, you have really lucked-out, haven't you.
That is a cute little Allium that you are showing today.
I like those big-flowered Lavateras. I often plant them with orange Calendulas for quite a striking effect...but they are so lovely on their own.
I am so glad that you gave the Lathyrus a try again. The ones that you show today are quite lovely and delicate to see. Do they have a fragrance? I think that I know that one, but can't come up with the name.
...and what an impressive Empress Wu--I'll bet that Droopy will drool when she sees that! I wonder how her's is doing this year. Fingers crossed, because Norway can be a challenging milieu for some plants.
--A 'scare frog' hahaha. You are too funny, Netty. He looks too dapper to scare.
The phlox is particularly smashing....but then I have a weakness for Phlox.
All in all, Netty it was just a super posting, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

So many beautiful blooms. Your garden must be looking an absolute picture. I just adore the dark Poppy and that patch of Daisies! So many of these beauties are definitely not suited to the conditions in my part of the world.

Netty--Beautiful flowers! The poppies are great. I am assuming you have grown those varieties in the past and these have self-sowed? I also loved the Monarda-so compact, and the Lavatera and the grown-from-seed-butterfly weed. Great garden!

Daisybeans-the Amaranthus is about 4 ft tall right now. It is a plant in my garden that always gets comments. It is very drought tolerant too and didn't even flinch when we were in that heatwave a few weeks back. Toni,I think this plant would do OK in your Texas heat and Karrma you never know until you try!
Sjoerd and Cayuga Morning-I haven't planted Poppies for a few years now but I am never disappointed with the blooms that re-seed each year. I have had black and red before, but never that delicate purple one.
Oh yes ... the scarefrog...he used to wear a lovely straw hat. Sadly, it disappeared during a wind storm one day.
