Good morning all. Overcast and a little drippy this morning but not enough good stuff dripping from the sky to measure in the rain gauge

We will be leaving in a few minutes, heading south to the stretch of country road that has all the garage sales this weekend.

Good Friday morning all, literally! Currently 5°C and overcast with a few drops falling from the sky. Hoping to go see my parents this morning, IF I can get my teenagers out of bed! Have a good day all :)

Happy Friday morning. We had a little rain yesterday, not enough to measure. Today is a little warmer with temps from the low 60s to the low 80s. Sure was an easy commute to work this morning... should be like this everyday! Hoping to get out of here early today.

Good morning all. Bright sunny day but very chilly. Still is below freezing at night. Great for the maple sap to run but not so good for gardens yet!

Good Saturday morning all! Currently 0°C and sunny. We had a lovely visit with my parents yesterday. We had planned this as a surprise for them, and it sure worked! We found them having lunch, my Mom with curlers in her hair hehehe They were still very happy to see us. Spent several hours catching up and then drove home again. Last night my son informed me that his arm hurt from a fall he had the night before. Looks like we will be heading back to the fracture clinic today, or the ER for xrays. NOT the way I had planned my Saturday! Have a great day all.

Happy Saturday morning. Getting a late start today since I overslept. Wonder if had anything to do with going to the big crawfish boil/fish fry last night? :-D
First thing today... get my cantaloupes in the ground and some other seedlings that are ready. And some more stuff needs to be put into bigger containers. Then it's time to nuke the fireant beds. Or maybe I'd better do the trimming first. The mowing can wait another few days or until next weekend. Going to be a gorgeous day with temps reaching the 80s!

Good Sunday morning all, and Happy Easter to everyone :)
Busy day yesterday ... got my sons arm x-rayed and he did indeed crack the new growth around the broken bone. He has probably set himself back 2 weeks recovery time. Then we came home and I managed to cook a turkey dinner with all the fixings, get all the laundry done, and still spend a few hours raking gravel off the grass. Today is a garden day for me :)

Happy Easter Sunday. A foggy 60F morning here but I'm sure it'll all burn off soon and we'll be at that 80F mark later on. I got all my chores done yesterday before an old friend showed up for a visit. Today's plan, water the containers and do a little housework. Then the rest of the day will be spent visiting my aunts.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 9°C and overcast. There is rain in the forecast today. I got a lot of work done out in the gardens yesterday. All the flower gardens are cleaned, trimmed and edged with the exception of the Welcome Garden. Once that is done, I hope it will be dry enough to work in the veggie garden. Fencing has been ordered and should be here by the end of the week. I am so happy to be out in the gardens again!! Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. Looks like a beautiful week ahead with temps from the mid 60s to the mid 80s and lots of sunshine.
It will be good to let some of the soaked areas dry up some, but then it'll be time to drag out the water hoses soon. Never satisfied, am I? :D

Good morning all. We got rain last evening, actually enough to measure in the rain gauge...of course most places around here go almost twice as much as my yard did but I am very happy with the 3/4ths inch. Maybe more this afternoon in the form of severe thunderstorms and large hail. Then I will have two days of sunshine before 4 days of possible rain again.

I really should be out in the garden but I don't know that I can get up and down right now. Randy put the phone next to the bed this morning before going into his home office so if I needed help getting out of bed I could call him. I didn't but I am definitely not feeling like a Spring Chicken either.

Not sure how much we got today. Had to drive slow-wipers going full blast.

I saw the rain was heading north of us. We didn't get any of it. It sure is humid though. It was in 80's here today and I went out and used the weed eater around the back part of the driveway. I didn't realize how tall that grass and weeds were getting. It took me two hours. The weed eater kept breaking the line instead of feeding more. We bought it at a yard sale and I should have unwound the line and rewound it because it was done rather badly.
More roses are blooming so I'll post some more pictures later this evening.
Hope everyone had a busy and productive day.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 9°C and drizzling. Yesterday I put out my rain barrels, today they are full! Off to a College Tour this morning with my son. Hopefully by the time we get back the rain will have stopped and I can get out to my garden. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. Overcast this morning with a 20% chance of rain. Temps from 70 to 85F. I'll be stopping by the store to pick up some soil to pot up the Plumeria my brother sent me and take a gander at the markdown rack. There hasn't been anything good there lately, maybe today will be a good day?
