It rained last night, but stopped by 7 a.m. and we received 6/10ths of an inch--early Christmas present! Cleaning today, but it's easier because with all the Nativities sitting around, dusting is hit or miss.
I was given an elf cap yesterday, complete with a big jingle bell. The cat loves it!

Good morning all. Almost a week of off and on sprinkles mixed with a little actual rain and we have only gotten just over 1/2 inch. :(

Youngest daughter will be using the kitchen today, she has a holiday dinner at work tomorrow and she makes special brownies for her Grampa to take to him on Sunday. He is diabetic so all the ingredients are sugar free. Tomorrow I will start baking cinnamon bread.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -10°C and clear. We are off to the last skating class of the year, which is followed with Breakfast with Santa and a family skating session. Should be FUN, but I'm not sure what I am going to do with my daughter on Monday and Wednesday nights this week. She is going to be pacing like a caged animal! Have a great day all :)

Good morning all, another misty/foggy morning but will probaby clear off later with the sun returning

I will be making 4 loaves of cinnamon bread today, we are going to Randy's folks tomorrow for early Christmas. Just picked up the mini-van we rented for the weekend so we can all make the drive together. We pick up oldest daughter and her boys early tomorrow, stop by our favorite coffee shop for our wake up drinks and snacks then get on the road for the 1.5 hour drive down there. It's a fun trip since we are all together. Last year we had to take both cars because the cheapest rental we could find was going to cost $800 for two days.

Good morning! Breakfast is done, dishes are done, refrigerator is cleaned so it's time to stop for a rest. I still want to change the tablecloth to a Christmas one and stick a few more things around to make the kitchen look Christmasy other than the tubs of cookies and muffins sitting around. We sure don't need cookies like that but making cookies is a part of Christmas. Kids up the hill may profit from my baking.
Still cloudy but the rain isn't active right now.

Happy Saturday morning. Yesterday's storm dumped LOTS of rain. My 5 inch gauge was full. From the flooded yards and full ditches, I'd guess we got at 6 or 7 inches! One of my sailing brothers,"the professor" is visiting for a few days.
Going to family gathering this afternoon and then a birthday party tonight. He's out visiting now, so now's a good time for me to make my treat for this afternoon

Good Monday morning all. Currently -3°C and overcast. We did see a little sunshine yesterday. I'm going to have a coffee and wait for everyone to finish in my kitchen, and then the cleanup for the bakefest begins! Not sure how much we are going to get done today, but I am just going to keep baking until we are out of ingredients. I am well stocked so it should be a while! Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. Yesterday was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine and temps in the mid 60s. Alot of that rain has soaked in or run off, but there's still some flooded yards.
Today... last day of work until Jan 5! woohoo
I've been putting off doing lots of things around the house, just to make sure I don't get bored for those 2 weeks! :D
Better get busy getting work started so I'll be ready for the Christmas party!

Good morning all. Yesterday stayed overcast and misty but our visit with Randy's family was good, the kids took the Jumanji game out into the field behind their house and played a real life version of it, they could run around and holler to their hearts content. Mind you the youngest of the 'kids' is 15 and the oldest is 27 but it did give us 'old fogies' some peace and quiet for a couple of hours.

I am taking the grandson's gift shopping for their Mom today. Not looking forward to the crowd of shoppers 3 days before Christmas but with the flu and the recuperation the last couple of weeks it just has to be today. Then baking more cinnamon bread tomorrow and goofing off all day Wed.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 1°C and overcast. It is very dark this morning, but the days are getting longer again. I'm off to do the final grocery shopping for the holidays, and get more butter for my baking. I can't believe it's almost here! Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. First day of the holiday break from work. We had a nice party yesterday. Lots of food and laughs. And sweets. And sweets! (And a raise!)
Today... more rain. Temps in the lower 50s. Looks like it'll be a good day to straighten up inside the house. And make some treats to take to my cousin's Christmas party.
I have no plans of getting "dressed" today, now watch... somebody's gonna show up at the door. :D

Good morning! Rain here this morning but it didn't last long. No sun though and it's very windy. No plans for today.

Good morning all. Successful shopping trip with the grandsons yesterday, they loaded up on goodies for their Mom....it's going to be a Firefly/Serenity christmas for her this year.

Sun is shinning here this morning, we might have gotten a few sprinkles overnight but not so much that it is noticeable. Again and as usual all the good stuff happened east, west and south of us.

Another day of baking and then shopping for Christmas morning breakfast things to take with us to oldest daughters, she is making her really good lasagna for christmas dinner.
