Gray and gloomy this morning but temps in the 50's. Sun is trying to get through the clouds now. At least it isn't gray anymore. 90 percent chance of rain on Thursday and temps in 40's.

Good morning all! Bright but quite cold morning here. I'm still down with the flu and I have a looong day of travel ahead of me tomorrow. Urgh :( Going to try and prepare myself with a medicinal hot whiskey tonight in preparation for the madness tomorrow.

    Enjoy your Wednesday ahead!

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -17°C and clear. Enjoying a coffee after a chilly dog walk, and then a dental appointment at 10am. Muffins to make later and then skating at 5. This week is flying past! Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday afternoon. It was a bit foggy this morning, but nothing like yesterday. Today is overcast but with temps in the mid 60s. The rain is supposed to get here overnight.

Good afternoon all. Almost 60 degrees now and might get a little warmer before the front moves through. Might even get up to 1/2 inch of rain....that's just such a large amount I don't know how the parched soil will handle it all. You do recognize sarcasm, right? ;)

But tomorrow should be cold with whatever rain we do get. Then back into the 60's for a few days. I am pretty sure that Winter is over here.

Good morning all! I'm currently in the airport waiting to check into the first of today's flights. My flu is still annoyingly present but I'm not going to let that stop me. At least I'll have a lot of time to ponder and observe around me today :)

Hope your Thursday finds you well!

Happy Thursday morning. A little warmer this morning with temps in the high 50s. That front that suppose to bring us cooler temps and rain all day must have made a pit stop somewhere.

Cheryl, I snagged the front last night, got it tied up so it can't leave. I have almost 1.25 inches of rain in the gauge, it's a fairly soft rain but steady and only 39 deg.
If it does what they said last night, it will get colder tonight and have a slight chance of snow flurries overnight and in the morning.

I am going to grab a book and read the rest of the day....right after I get potato soup going in the slow cooker. Easy, crockpot/slow cooker Potato Soup

Good morning! It's pouring down rain here. It rained most of the night. My rain gauge is sitting in the laundry room. dr didn't want it to freeze if the temps went down. It's in mid 30's out there now. I think it's supposed to rain buckets until evening and then just rain the rest of the night. I'm glad we got our errands done yesterday. Soup sounds like a good idea for today. Maybe bread, too.

Oh yes, we have rain, too! It started as sprinkles about 7 p.m. last night, and right now at 12:45 we have an inch of rain.
This was supposed to be my "go into town and get stuff done" day, but it's been postponed.
Our pond is overflowing, we have standing water in low places in the pasture and barn lot, and the chickens are NOT happy (mad as a wet hen is not just an expression).
I have beans on the stove to make baked beans later, and a stock pot full of bits and pieces for vegetable stock.
Toni, thanks for the recipe--I'll try it later this week when it's supposed to be chilly and wet again.

Good Friday morning all. Currently just -5°C, with sun and west wind. No school today and so I will have an extra person in the house today, as well as a friend. Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning! Yesterday's storm left just under 2.5 inches of rain. The wind was miserable making it feel so much colder. Today's high will only be in the upper 40s and near freezing overnight. But the sun returns and we'll be in the 70s after that for a few days.

Good morning all. Yep the heavy rain went south of me and what we got ended late yesterday morning with 1.25 inch of rain in my gauge. This morning is sunny and in the 40's. Will be in the 70's for us too for the next week or more.
I spent yesterday with the shutters and front door open enjoying the rain and cold while reading a really interesting book. Today I need to get caught up on laundry and dishes.

Good afternoon! Yep! We are south of you, Toni. We got more than three inches and it's still drizzling out there. No sun here yet, maybe tomorrow. The road going into town was flooded in four or five places. Two of them were pretty bad but we made it to town and back. One was where a tank overflowed and it was about 8 or 10 inches deep and running into a creek. I thought hard about it but we didn't have any electricity so we went to town for supper. The electric was out for about seven hours. You know it would come back in the middle of the night and shine bright into our sleeping eyes. Isn't it always that way?
