|
We are being invaded by skunks. My husband has killed 6 this summer - 4 in the past week. They are in our backyard. I don't want them getting in the garage or bothering the cats. And of course the smell is a big problem. Any ideas to keep them away.

I found this website but I don't know how useful it'll be to you Polly. Hope you get your problem with skunks sorted out soon.

We put up fences, but they can get through some of them. We put armor plating on Chance's small yard. The neighbor tried mothballs. The feed store person told us they use live traps, just throw a blanket over them and the skunks won't spray. We didn't try it. Another neighbor traps them but he doesn't transport them, they end up in the landfill. I haven't asked what he does with them first. They were living in the culverts of driveways and the people were throwing mothballs into the culverts during the day. They soon left the culverts but were still around. I don't know what helps.
