Hi Ed, It looks like your plant needs a good clean up to remove all the brown crispy leaves.
Browning and die back occur for many reasons. Rule out any pests. Hold a white sheet of paper under the plant, tap or shake the leaves a bit to see if anything falls off. You can detect certain bad bugs this way.
Or just examine the plant up close for chewing or other obvious damage. If you do find bugs, check with a local nursery to help you find a treatment. Or you can try a spray of soapy water.
If that's not it, it could be sun burned, too much watering or not enough watering. Check the soil down a few inches in the pot, is it dry? Wet? These conditions can cause failure. It might also be root bound, and needs a bigger pot with fresh potting mix.
How long has it been since you potted or re-potted this? Maybe the nutrients in the soil are depleted, and causing the plant to fail. I wish you luck, give the plant some TLC ;)
