Here's Charity, she is scared of the camera so she doesn't photograph real good. She is daschund, taco bell dog mix. She is a very bad dog, she likes to kill possums. She only weighs 12 pounds, but that doesn't stop her. We found her at the church we used to go to. Someone had dropped her and her brother off. We didn't see him, but the preachers wife found him that afternoon. She took him to her vet, who found a home for him.

Charity looks so cute Sharon that you wouldn't believe she could kill anything. Why, oh why do people just abandon animals? Thank goodness there are others, like you, around to save them.

Cute woof woof Sharon! Hmmm let me see she is a wild spirit, sounds like an animal who needs some structure in her life and the ability to still use her lethal nature for good. I know, she should apply for Chance Security Systems like Jubabe's 3 dogs did a couple of months back.

Such a pretty dog - too bad about the possums thought... I have a friend who works as a wildlife rehabilitator specializing in baby possums who survive their mothers being hit on the road, so I've grown to have more appreciation for them than I used to. Here's hoping she finds another way to get all that energy out!

Good name and she's lucky to have you. I had a dog once that killed everything that moved. Saw him stamping his paw on the ground repeatedly and turned out he was killing ants! Dauchunds were bred to kill vermin so maybe she just can't help it. She's still a "good girl".

She is a cutie .I sure wish she could get along with the possums as I always liked to feed them dog food thought they were unusal animals. They really are ugly little creatures maybe Chairty does like their looks.Smile

Well these days she is mostly just chasing them off, I think it was a lucky chance that she actually caught one and killed it. At least, I only know of the one. I think it is just inbred in her, bc they were bred to kill vermin, just like Bethie said. I have nothing against the possums, they eat my cat food all the time. We have some very fat ones around.

Cute dog, Sharon. I like her coloring. I like her name. Hopefully she will live up to her name and have charity for other animals.

Awww!! Charity is a such a sweet looking little dog!! I love possums!! I don't think they are that ugly!! We have one that is soooo fat from eating our cat and dog food!! He is so used to what goes on around here he doesn't even get in a hurry to get out of your way when you go out on the porch. He just kinda hissed at you and goes on his merry way!!LOL! My dogs have killed all of my guinea chickens!!<sigh> They are labs so bird hunting is in their nature!!

Sorry about your chickens. We had that happen one time, the dog was a timber wolf and we were dog watching for my brother's friend. Sweet dog, but a chicken killer.
