Hey guys.. A friend of ours in Florida came to our house and saw our hydrangia and LOVED it....
I want to send him a cutting from my plant.. Id like to get it started for him a bit. Whats the best way to take a cutting from my plant and start it up for him? Ive never dont this before.

Oh sounds good Eileen thanks. I think my best bet though is go with your first advice. its already mid august and my bushes are starting to turn brown (the flowers themselves are/were blue)
if i wanted to try your second idea whats the best time to do that? more June right when they are first starting to turn blue?
