Some of you may remember my recent story and pictures of my husband taking it cats. Longfellow is a beautiful black and white. Since the vet is only a block from my office, it was my job this morning to take Longfellow and his brother Hard Hat to the vet to be neutered and vaccinated. My husband assured me that they were both secure in the back of the van. Little did he know. I got about two miles from home, heard a noise and looked down beside me. Longfellow appeared, then he jumped on the passenger seat, up into the window and then paraded himself to right in front of my face. By the time I got the van pulled over he had his front paws on the steering wheel and this look on his face that said, "I don't like your driving, Lady. I am taking control of the vehicle." After calling my husband to come help get them under control, I manage to get to town, late for work. Needless to say, my husband will be picking them up tomorrow for the trip home.

Awwwwwww mommie, he just wanted to help. He is very pretty. I applaud y'all for getting them neutered. Thanks for being responsible pet owners.

I really think he wanted to take control. I am over run by males at my house. There is just me against a husband and three male cats.

As I have had the day to think about it, it gets funnier every time I tell the story. My husband found it hilarious.

Cute tale Polly, could have been dangerous though. Especially if Longfellow had taken the wheel Shocked

Just an update. Longfellow and his brother Hard Hat both made it home safely today from the vet. Needless to say, I did not pick them up - my husband did.

It sounds adorable. My dad used to have a cat named Phideaux who would sit on his lap while he drove, he seemed to think he was a dog (hence his name - he also would fetch pompom balls if you threw them for him)

I love Longfellow and Hard Hats names!
