After the long hot summer I finally have a couple flowers blooming. An orange zinnia and a pink one and a pink cleome.

My small garden is doing well or at least growing. I was hoping for some rain today but so far all we got was a few sprinkles.

I planted lettuce in some circular beds where nothing grew this summer. Things got a little neglected around here.

This is not a plant but it's in my front yard. I think there are two of them because I noticed the egg case by the back door, too.

The sort of mimosa tree has seed pods on it. My brother wants me to send him some when they are ready.

I love to look at photos. Thanks for sharing with us. We had over 20 inches of rain this month. I wish I could have shared with the states that needed some.

Glad to see you have some flowers that survived the summer. That poor bunny looks so sad (but cute), sitting their patiently waiting on that lettuce. 
Did you ever get an ID on that mimosa-type tree?
(And Don, if we had one month of 20 inches of rain... we'd still be in drought conditions. I believe the last count was that we're 25 inches behind in rain fall this year... but it sure would be nice!)

Looks like you are experiencing a 'mini-spring' with
all the plants that are relieved to have barrable weather. We most always have the same thing in the fall in So. Calif. Nights about 51 degrees, days about 80 degrees. The plants get confused. Take good care of that spider.

Hi Dooley,
lovely Orange Zinnia,..my favorite colour!,..poor Bunny waiting for the rain to grow that Lettuce,..i wish i could share our rain with you,..we are due 6 days of it,..as it stands we have flood warnings.

Hi Philip, It seems like no one misses out, we had floods here...seemed like everywhere, Thailand is having a turn Italy is also.....I hope we dont have to add Ireland, in your photos it looks like you are quite close to the river, I hope you are O.K.....water can move very quickly when there is lots of it......stay safe.

Dooley, don'tcha just love the brightness of the orange Zinnia. I want more of them next year. I didn't see any of the writing spiders here this year or last but had several three years ago.
I have some Cleome seeds for next spring, hope I get a couple of plants from them.
