|
Hi all,
I'm trying to find the name of this plant for a friend on another forum, here is the flower that has appeared in her garden. She says it's a shrub and this is the only flower left on it.
http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/4405/2887/200/unknownflower.jpg
We've tried for the life of us to find out what it is, i've even trawled the net looking at all the flower images possible but to no avail.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Calv.

Hi Calv and welcome to our community I can't see the image you posted Maybe the photo's location has changed?
Hope you can get it displaying as we'd love to help you identify the shrub.

Hello from me too Calv. I'm intrigued by the sound of plant your friend has. I hope you can manage to re-post the photograph so that we can help you ID it.

Calv, I don't think the website that the image was located on allowed it to be displayed on a different website so I don't think you will be able to get it to display here. I have however edited your original post to make it a link to the image rather than trying to display it here and now people will be able to view it by following the link.
It sure is a pretty flower, I'm stumped however. I hope someone else can help you identify it
// update - just seen your new post above. I will have to learn to type faster

The flower itself looks to be in the magnolia family, but the leaves don't. And I have never seen a magnolia that color, but that doesn't mean there isn't one that color. I'll keep looking and see what I can come up with.

Well the nearest I can come to your photograph is a type of peony rose Calv. Maybe the next time it blooms you could get us another piccie before the flower starts to die back. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

That ok Eileen, i appreciate you looking.
A few of my friend have suggested a peony rose too, even though it's just a close guess.
Thanks again,
Calv.
