I am so very grateful that this thread has been bumped!!

Eileen ~ I hadn't seen your exceptional illustrations, they are so beautifully done.
In each case, you've captured the essence of the animal so well,
both of the owls especially so, I think.

Pete ~ How fortunate that you still have such gorgeous paintings from your father's hand.
I hope that he never felt any doubt of their extraordinary beauty,
despite the fickle taste of the public at the time.

Thanks Pete I'm proud to have your fathers painting displayed on my screen. I wish I could say thanks to him in person but I'm sure he knows how much I appreciate it. Very Happy

I'm really looking forward to seeing your own paintings. Mr. Green

Just saw your father's painting now Pete and I was amazed, such detail. To do that without formal training is a natural talent no question. Just fabulous.

Eileen - As promised, I just posted some of my watercolour efforts as a new topic (for what they're worth).
Pete.
