As you can tell, I love to ride! We bought a new home (new to us) last July on 2 acres and I'm ready to garden! Come on Spring! I'm planning on doing a lot of flower containers. Just got the bathtub and toilet which will be filled with flowers and metal stock tanks for our vegetable garden. To keep busy this Winter I've been making Plant Terrariums.

Hi okietriker, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas.
Oh, 2 acres of potential gardens. Sounds like a bit of heaven.
Any photos of your acreage, especially 'before' shots then progress shots as your gardens develope would be greatly appreciated by all of us.

Welcome! Your terrarium is what the weather has made me contemplate doing. I was even thinking of going and looking for some suitable jars, but just browsed online. Can't wait to see photos of your gardens.

jewel, I get most of my jars at Wal-Mart, mainly the 2 gallon ones. I also add a frog, snake, turtle, butterfly, lizard OR ladybug to them. Small fake ones of course! I do sell some but I can't have regular houseplants because of my 2 cats so I started the terrariums.

That jar is perfect. I will be going to Wally World and be on the lookout. I have some plants that will be perfect. Indoor gardening season ya know. The critters are a perfect.
