|
I just moved into my home about 4 months ago and i love it, but I HATE the grass . It is the worst grass out there, when should I prepare it for better grass seed (I heard kentucky blue was the best) It also has lots of rocks and debris (it was finished being built about 4 1/2 months ago) We also have a garden around on the front side of the house that has lots of promise (but I'm not sure of the names of the plants or shrubs). I was thinking about putting mulch and herbs. Unfortunately I only have about $80 dollars to play with So I guess my question is where is best to start? I plan on doing lots of work out there but just clueless as to where to begin. Just to let everyone know...I'm VERY new to gardening and I don't know much about it.

Gina, there is also a great topic you should read through here http://www.gardenstew.com/about270.html One of out members mbwest put in a lawn and rockery in from scratch and had some very rocky soil to deal with at first. He also had a limited budget. Just what you need.
