Here are a couple more morning glory pictures and one of the half-price geraniums that I bought a couple of weeks ago.

I like the colors of the Morning Glories and I would dearly love a little bridge like that one.I have a perfect little spot to put one .Oh well I can dream.

Dooley those geraniums well worth worth the money weren't they?!!! They look sooooo healthy and still have lots of buds on them too.
I love the morning glories - are they seperate plants or does one plant have all those different colour variations on it?
Your bridge looks fantastic now with the planters beside it - as thought it was just meant to be there - that really was a great find.  I'd love a bridge in my garden too Glenda, just like Dooley's, but I'm rapidly running out of space.

The original home builder for the neighborhood where I live built a pathetic fence along the back of our backyard (and spanning the length of the block).
The fence was so bad that every house on the back side of the fence (it's technically a separate section of the neighborhood) built their own fences in front of it so they wouldn't have to look at it.
Of course, this made a 1/2 foot strip of land between the fences running the length of the neighborhood.
We took down the builder's fence in our yard shortly after we moved here.
Some time ago, I put some morning glory (with the dark blue flowers just like in your pic) in the back corner and it took off between the fences all down the block!  You can see it poking up over the fences everywhere.

The morning glories returned from the dark purple ones that I planted last year. They came back in all different colors. They are everywhere. I moved some small plants down by the back fence in the spring and they sat there for three months and when the rains started they took off and now cover everything and even grow up the tree. Each color is a separate plant.
I bought six geraniums at half price. They are all doing well. Three are in pots and three are in the ground. You have to bring them inside here because we get temps down to 20F. If I was down in the valley they could stay out all year. We are about 4,300 ft in altitude. Our temps are controlled by altitude here to a great extent. I bought the bridge at a moving sale but it is a simple design and could be easily built. Dooley

Oh I love the morning glories! We had such an odd spring that I didn't get any planted. I bought one in a little pot from a nursery. Poor little pathetic thing. It's blooming, barely. Poor little guy is so straggly and thin  Next year I will plant them for sure! Plantswap, you can be my neighbor anytime! I'd love it if one of my neighbors beautified our cul-de-sac  You can't go wrong with geraniums either. They are my FAVORITE! I bring some of mine in through the winter. I have 2 big, south facing windows in my office and the geraniums tend to do pretty well during the cold winter months. Will yours make it through the winter??

Dooley, do you remember the geranium Mom had in Kenosha? It started in a small pot and the last time I saw it she had it transplanted into a 5 gallon bucket. She really had a green thumb. yours look great also. wannabe

It may be simple to make but you don't know me.It would be cheaper to buy one I would have to buy everything to make it except a hammer .

Love the morning glories. They are so tender here that they can be quite short lived. That bridge is very cute and I rather fancy that over our little pond!!

Beautiful pics dooley. I have 6 potted geraniums that I purchased this summer. I'm new at growing geraniums. If I bring them in during the winter, will they bloom again next spring? I thought they were annuals??

If they don't freeze during the winter they will last forever. They can grow huge. My mom always took cuttings to grow more of them. Some books say you can hang them in a dark place and replant them but I've never tried it. I always just bring the pots inside. You can keep them in the garage if it isn't freezing. Dooley

Dooley I also like your morning glories!! MGs our among my favorite flowers!! I could make one of your little bridges to go over my "dry creek bed" when I start on my backyard!! Oh great job with the rescued geranium!! It is a beauty!! Thanks for letting us know we can save them during the winter!!
