Help! I need a way to get rid of an armadillo without killing it. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Richard is it possible to set a humane trap for it and then relocate it? I'm sorry I can't think of anything else that might be helpful as, coming from Scotland, we don't have problems with animals like armadillos - just fieldmice in our shed.

reggaefan I'm having a problem with one also!! Hopefully we will both find a solution!!! They really cause alot of damage don't they!!

Yes jubabe they are little bulldozer and have cost cajun belle and my self some plants . I really hate to kill any thing since I feel i have killed enough for one lifetime. I am hoping to find a solution short of that. GOD bless

Richard they have what is called live traps here that can be bought at the local feed stores but how in the world would you bait it to get the Armadillo
to go into it to spring the door to shut?I've heard moth balls scattered around works I really don't know for sure but its worth a try.

glendann we though about Havaheart traps but with all the curious cats we have here we would spend all our time realeasing them and resetting the traps. Sometimes being animal lovers has it disadvantages, but Cajun Belle and I are hopeless stray collectors animals and human.

 I can just imagine you 2 out leting cats out.The next way I could help is to  or the only thing left animal lover are not it is destroying
your plants and yard would be to

Like Eileen, being in the UK, it is hard to imagine having an armadillo in the garden! We have to go to the zoo to see them!! Deer and badgers are about the biggest problems here in Essex, and to be honest, they really aren't a problem. Good luck shoo-ing it away. I really hope you find a 'happy' solution.

Thanks to everyone for the help,Cajun Belle and I are going to make a decision within the next few days. I have another problem my neighbors who have no buisness with dogs bought a mini Basset hound and now my daughters want to buy it from them.Of course dear old Mom and dad would be the ones to take care of it . HEAVY SIGH

Richard ,You guys are suckers lol.
Lights brring bugs which in turn draws armadillos are thats what happened at work .We had 2 that came to eat bugs.
