I have moles in the garden and I can't seem to get them out. There are only a couple and they don't seem be doing much in the way of damage, that may be because I smash down the runs and mounds everyday. I set up a trap to get rid of them but they travel around so much that the run I put it on seems to never get used a second time. Recently one has been very active in my greenhouse. I have tried the pellets and tried flooding them out but to no avail.
    Any inexpensive non toxic methods?

Never lacking for an excuse to experiment, how about using a bee smoker, the mole may not like it's tunnels being filled with smoke and exit it's underground domain. I have know idea if it would work but it sounds possible.

I once heard that they didn't like the sound/vibration of those little ornaments that spin in the wind. It you can find one that has a bottom that you poke into the ground, poke it in near the area the moles live. Make sure its not sheltered so the wind will keep it spinning and it should drive them away.
I've never tried this, but I heard it works.
